Warhorse Studio Exec Accused Of Telling Activist At The Game Awards To "Shut The F*ck Up!"

The 2025 Game Awards have come and gone, but the fallout from this year's star-studded affair has only just begun. In a year where a highly-praised game like Expedition 33 took home a record 9 total awards, it was almost certain there would be no shortage of hot takes to follow. One of the most notable examples was from Warhorse Studio's Communications Director Sir Tobi exclaiming on X that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was "robbed" when Expedition 33 won RPG of the year.

While he may have said this in jest, the official KCD2 account also shared the well-known meme of the dog in the burning building saying "this is fine." They also shared screenshots from the game saying "blame the French," which was obviously a playful jab at fellow game of the year nominee Expedition 33 and their French devs at Sandfall Interactive.

However, things have escalated rapidly as community manager and accessibility consultant Liana Ruppert, who was in attendance at The Game Awards, has now accused Sir Tobi of Warhorse studio of cursing at her and telling her to "shut the fuck up" during the event. This was first alleged in a post on X where she said, "To the person in front of me that told me to shut the fuck up and stop laughing because it annoyed you and made me cry. I hope you find joy. Why come to things like The Game Awards if joy bothers you?"

Although she didn't elaborate as to who the person was who said this to her, she has now posted a picture of the back of what appears to be Sir Tobi's head, claiming that he was the individual who told her to be quiet. In a response to @TheCartelDel, she also stated that Sir Tobi wasn't the only person asking her group to be quiet, as she admitted to being "super loud" when it came time to clap.

This is certain to become a much bigger controversy, as Warhorse Studio has always had a contentious relationship with games media, dating back to the original Gamergate. Studio head Daniel Vavra was particularly divisive early this year when he was accused of backstabbing his biggest supporters in favor of making his game more palatable for games journalists and "modern audiences." Despite what many people felt was "forced diversity" in KCD2, it's worth noting that Warhorse went home empty handed at The Game Awards.
