Things Keep Getting WORSE For The Doc!!

It hasn't been that long since Dr Disrespect made headlines for all the wrong reasons, but things continue to get worse for the embattled YouTube star. In an announcement today on Twitter/X, the account for the 3rd person tactical shooter Rogue Company informed their players that the purchasable skin for Doc was being removed from the game.

The account posted, "Hey Rogue Company, we have disabled Dr. Disrespect content previously available in game. We will provide full Rogue Buck refunds to any impacted account this week." This statement in itself is technically not even correct, as the people who purchased the $40 skin are not receiving an actual refund, rather a $40 in-game store credit.

This decision to withhold people's funds has resulted in massive pushback, with many players demanding their actual money back. Critics are right to point out that this purchase was for a specific skin, and many of the customers who spent the $40 on it would not have spent that money otherwise if it were for a different cosmetic.

Rogue Company is a game that launched to much fanfare in 2020, but has struggled to maintain a concurrent player base since then. In the last 24 hours, there were barely more than 600 people playing Rogue Company concurrently on Steam.

Rogue Company's Hi-Rez Studio is just the latest company to sever ties with Dr Disrespect, after he admitted to allegations of inappropriate messages with a minor. Gillette, Mountain Dew and the San Francisco 49ers had previously parted ways with him, as well as Midnight Society, the video game studio that he cofounded.
