In yet another brilliant move that is sure to alienate even more of the dwindling fanbase, Star Wars: The Acolyte actress and activist Amandla Stenberg released a cringe-inducing music video on Juneteenth.
amandla stenberg wrote, recorded, shot & edited a song & music video in just 72 hours as a response to all the disgusting racist hate from Star Wars “fans” & dropped that shit on JUNETEENTH!!! an ICON! a LEGEND! amandla said racists & clickbait journalism GO CHOKE! The song, if you can actually call it that, was nothing more than a hate-filled diatribe directed at all the Star Wars fans who have shared their displeasure with the direction that the show has taken the franchise.
Amandla is no stranger to controversy, as she points out in her tone-deaf rap freestyle. Back in 2018, she told Trevor Noah in a sit down interview that the goal of her recent film project was "to make white people cry."
She has since gone on to say that Star Wars and nerds are both "pretty gay," something that I believe most Star Wars fans would take issue with.
