God Of War Creator Claimed Attempt On Trump's Life Looked "Staged!"

Yesterday was a terrible day for our nation, as a would-be assassin tried to end the life and reelection bid of Donald J Trump. While the attempt on Trump's life was unsuccessful, an attendee in the crowd was not so lucky. A 50 year old father and former firefighter was struck and killed, while others are left fighting for their lives in the hospital. Trump himself required medical attention, as he was struck at least once when a rifle round connected with his ear.

What may be even more unsettling is the outpouring of psychotic reaction videos and unhinged tweets from deranged individuals who were outraged that the shooter missed his target. Regardless of which political candidate you support, it's beyond reprehensible to cheer on or wish for the assassination of a former President. Unfortunately, that's exactly what we saw happen, as Donald Trump narrowly escaped getting assassinated by a rifle round during a speech in Pennsylvania, which further ignited mentally ill postings among left-wing social media accounts.

There are too many of these insane responses to list in a single article, as Tik Tok and Twitter/X exploded with trending hashtags such as "how could you miss" and "one job." Prominent political commentators such as Destiny would go on to mock the man who lost his life, as well as doubling-down on Trump and his supporters being ultimately responsible for yesterday's events.

The gaming space was not exempt from these kind of statements. Twitch streamer DenimsTV, who previously "joked" about putting a bounty on Mark Kerns, posted about the incident, with dozens of her followers lamenting that Trump wasn't killed during the attempt.

Kotaku Senior editor Alyssa Mercante joined in on this reprehensible behavior, tweeting jokes about the shooting before ultimately deleting the posts. Her deranged behavior surrounding the shooting, as well as her subsequent Twitter/X postings, have been well documented, thanks to That Park Place and Smash Jt.

Trump was even accused of "clip farming" by left-wing extremist and millionaire socialist, Hasan Piker. We have also seen an insane amount of left-leaning and Trump-hating individuals share the theory that the entire incident was staged, as access media shill Mighty Keef posted and then deleted in a quickly screenshotted tweet.

In an even more brazen display of ignorance, God of War creator David Jaffe would also go on to imply that the shooting seemed "staged." He tweeted out, "At first I was horrified. This isn't near ok as much as I despise the man. But wait...his secret service just lets him STAND there and do a little bit?!? Come on, man. I'm NOT a conspiracy guy but I mean...what?!? With his fucking HEAD in plain view?"

After receiving mass backlash, David Jaffe would go on to double-down on his feeling that the entire event seemed staged. "I literally started the tweet saying I don't WANT him to be shot. And I don't. At least not unless he is punished for treason. And it's prob not anything other than what it looks like but it sure looks...staged."

He further attempted to explain his position better in a video posted to Twitter/X, but the damage had already been done. Between the headlines from CNN and NBC trying their hardest not to refer to this as an "assassination attempt," as well as the social media influencers, developers and "journalists" openly mocking this abhorrent loss of life, we have truly seen some of the worst people on the internet expose themselves for the soulless ghouls that many of us have long known them to be.
